Man, what an awesome start to March.
First, I jumped on the scale sure that 2 birthdays and travel would have knocked me off-track. I must have done something right around all that, because I hit 171. That puts me ahead of schedule to get to 168 before my full training program kicks in mid-May. I’m guessing there may be a bounce tomorrow, but 171 on March 1 is really good. I should solidly hit <168 this month, if all goes to plan.
Did my bike ride and felt great, especially because I got to play Horizon: Zero Dawn a bit while I was on the bike trainer. I’ve been jazzed about this game for months, and it released yesterday. It has me really pumped up about being on the bike trainer, and hey, ANY motivation is good motivation!
Later this morning my office had a small birthday celebration for me since I was not in last week on my actual birthday. They were awesome and did veggies and fruit. Except, there was this one thing that I had a slice of: Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie Layer Cake. That most definitely was NOT in my plan, but it was damned good. >_>
Good fortune continued at lunch, as my PowerTap pedals arrived! I was so excited I took a few unboxing pictures so you all could see.
I cannot tell you how excited I am to try these! Unfortunately I already biked today, but I have another tomorrow. I’ll talk about the process to install and set them up then. As for tonight, I have a swim TT to reset my zones. It seems a little fast (I only did the first one 2 weeks ago) but hopefully there was at least a little improvement.
